@molaresexy There needs to be a change of mind and new visions in MANY countries. There are tons of countries that could turn into great countries with the proper guidance. Maybe I should become a politician and guide them myself!

Those that pay the money and support the greed are just as guilty. “The man that sleep with the prostitute is just as guilty.”

i remember living there not 2 fun

@lisejoan Sound bites, quick pictures, molded into what the western world wants non ivoirien to see, but i def agree that the main issue for many african countries are its leaders not the “white men”, thats done and gone, they are selfish african leaders who are greedy and want money and power simple as that nothing else. And the reporter is reporting on a few things (ivoire hotel, etc….) that even most locals do not even go to, but its their news so they film and report as they want.

  • lisejoan:

    HE DIED??? How sad…

That’s why true journalism never shines… There was nothing bad about what he reported. Now, all we have is propaganda. I’m Ivorian and I say… we’ve blamed the French, because we’re afraid to blame ourselves for being sell-outs… I’m talking about so many politicians who for money will sacrifice a whole nation they swore to serve and protect. C’est Dieu qui est grand.

  • 86am:

The reporter suggests that Ivory Coast’s political problems are caused by “waning” French influence. Outrageous

  • modernhumble:

u cant judge the whole of africa based on 1 video

  • Floralin:

the ivory coast currency ( Fcfa ) was “devaluated “.That’s when they decided that what was previously 1 french Franc = 10 fcfa , would be 1Franc = 5 fcfa. The politicians , corrupted like everywhere else are always the 1st ones to leave the country they ve sold already . We re not living in a fair world and news like BBC better talk about the roots of the problem, rather than shallow things like “i got death threats from kids “.It’s Sad that the journalist was killed but so were many ivorians .

  • Floralin:

Of course the western world is throwing fuel on it. Where do you think those african armies get their sophisticated weapons? Most markets are monopolised by the french. We had our wealthy years in the 80s. Then ourcurrency became 2 strong for the french 2 afford our natural resources :o il, diamond, gold , etc .

  • abidjannet:

I have no problem with you spending your holidays in the Ivory Coast. You can even live there if you want. I have a problem with Europeens planting boundaries all over the globe and imposing Visas to others while they are free to go anywhere they want. This is why this entire world is sick because there is a physical and mental unbalance in the globe. Human beings are not prefered, are not better but different. Until you understand that, any place in the world will be a safer place for u.

vive la legion entrangere, parce que guerre entre frères n’est pas nécessaire!

Vous et les rebelles devraient devenir peuple unifié

Je suis désolé, je sais que mon français est mauvais, mais il est ce que je crois. La paix soit avec vous!

  • davervr6:

Africa, is a crazy place. Sometimes I wonder if the western world is just throwing more fuel on the fire. I’d like to think otherwise but this is eye opening.

  • stybarrow:

” French influence is waning “. uh, yes.

  • trigga1uk:

its not racism. Is it racist to say that the fastest people on the 100metres are always black. Regardless of how much you dont like it, different races and cultures have vastly different intellectual and physical abilities. All this “we are all the same but have different colour skin” is total nonsense and idealism at its very worst. I have been to these nations and seen the problems that some of their traditions cause, but they dont know any other way to live.

  • daoodism:

it would seem you are the one with mental problems.. to assume a structure is how you rate a race’s brain power is just stupid. you must take into consideration priorities of the people.. only recently did western europe move ahead in civilization. in ethipia there are many structures dating back to early christian times. mosques in muslim africa, etc.. it appears that you need more education before you say racist things, which only hold you back. try learning about the people before you talk.

this is to any people actualy in africa and can see what is going on.

I am thinking about joining the UN military to help liberate and rejuvenate Africa, do you think this would actualy help? or would it be as futile as sending money?

  • gajgirlz:

ok hello i am an ivorian and we do not kill white people they came for war so we will show them war.People can not see that now we r free.Gbagbo will rule as our president! VIVE LES IVOIRIEN!

  • Destructoro001:

Youre an idiot for going there, theyre killing white people almost daily there.

  • donkyheads:

    french are gay….

  • molaresexy:

us african are also fed up of those begging org. and charities
before any foreign help we should asset our potentials , appreciate and use our own resources, stop the corruption in our institutions & government by then we ‘ll realize the truly need of this continent. what’s NOTHING…………..
WE NEED A CHANGE OF MIND NEW VISION FOR ALL AFRICAN before any dimes received could be useful

  • trigga1uk:

ill assume english is not your first language as your wording is quite strange. And yes, if it wasnt for africans then i would not be able to talk about them, which is the same as saying if football did not exist then i would not be able to talk about it. And i truely do hope one day we will see the true power of africa. Im fed up of listening to charities wanting to send money over there and constantly patronising the people of Africa.

  • molaresexy:

i must think your ignorance and stupiduty
    reflect the personnage
if it wasn’t for african themselves a idiot like you would never have the opportunity of talking about us
i deeply love my root and one the continent will be united and the word will see our true POWER

  • Eomk10:
